چکیده
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in developing to advanced countries worldwide. The incidence rate lung Korea has been increasing steadily since 1997. Statistics show that 2017 alone, and mortality rates for were 52.7 34.8 per 100,000 people, respectively, accounting highest death Korea. process accurately diagnosing consists several steps, starting with discovery pulmonary nodule(s) via a screening test or various other methods followed by collection cells tissues identification target molecules. Thereafter, staging development therapeutic plan lead improved clinical outcomes. After completion pilot study, nationwide program was introduced Korea; 2019, this targeted population at high risk cancer: men women aged 54 74 years who had smoking history 30 pack-years more. frequency detection nodules proportion public interest health economic growth. In review, we present diagnostic techniques biomarkers are widely used medical field hope such information would benefit practice.

Extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, such as collagen type I and elastin, and intermediate filament (IMF) proteins, such as vimentin are modified and dysregulated as part of the malignant changes leading to disruption of tissue homeostasis. Noninvasive biomarkers that reflect such changes may have a great potential for cancer. Levels of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) generated fragments of type...
متن کاملOral Cancer Biomarkers - as Powerful Diagnostic and Prognostic Tools
Oral carcinogenesis is considered to be a highly complex, molecular and histologically multistage process, which is often localized in the oral cavity, may metastasize and spread out resulting in the onset of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Head and Neck (SCCHN). Among all the oral cancers, the frequency with which OSCC (Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma) (arising from the lining mucosa) occurs is the hi...
متن کاملPredicting Diagnostic Gene Biomarkers for Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer
Lung cancer is the primary reason for death due to cancer worldwide, and non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common subtype of lung cancer. Most patients die from complications of NSCLC due to poor diagnosis. In this paper, we aimed to predict gene biomarkers that may be of use for diagnosis of NSCLC by integrating differential gene expression analysis with functional association net...

15 صفحه اولDNA Methylation Biomarkers for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: Diagnostic and Prognostic Tools.
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a common tumor in southern China and south-eastern Asia. Effective strategies for the prevention or screening of NPC are limited. Exploring effective biomarkers for the early diagnosis and prognosis of NPC continues to be a rigorous challenge. Evidence is accumulating that DNA methylation alterations are involved in the initiation and progression of NPC. Over t...
